“Kamishibai” originated as a Japanese form of street theatre that captivated children from the 1920s through the 1970s. It combines visual art, storytelling, and live performance in a unique way. Japanologist Miya Gerlich and actor Hiroki Mano offer an entertaining glimpse into the bygone world of this distinctive form of popular entertainment.
The Mori Ōgai Memorial is not barrier-free.
