Blackmail, Stalking and Hate Speech: Tracking Down Anonymous Perpetrators with the Help of Speech Profilers
A different approach to crime-fighting: former secret agent Leo Martin and Patrick Rottler analyse threatening letters, blackmail notes and death threats for tell-tale mistakes, linguistic peculiarities or distinctive writing styles, thereby tracking down the perpetrators.
The pair will work through a case together with the audience, offering fascinating insights into their work.
The audience becomes part of the profiler team and is actively involved in the investigation. This reveals how each individual, depending on their regional background and professional development, develops unconscious writing patterns that can be used to create individual linguistic profiles.
Access to the building is possible without thresholds or steps. The lift and the entrances from the foyer and from/to the exhibition on the 1st floor can only be opened by staff. Visitors who wish to use the lift will be given a mobile in-house telephone to call staff if necessary.
