The Trabi, also affectionately known as the ‘walking frame’ or‘plastic bomber’, was the East German equivalent of the West German Volkswagen. At the Trabi Museum, visitors can learn all about the history of the famous two-stroker and its many uses – from the ‘Villa Sachsenruh’, a camping Trabi with a tent roof, to the armoured Trabant of the East German National People’s Army.
