For barrier-free access to the museum, please use the staff entrance to the left of the main entrance to the museum.

In order to secure the dominant position of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) in former East Germany (GDR), both the surveillance of the population and the GDR’s foreign espionage were once organised from here. Today, this former bastion of the secret police is a place of education about dictatorship and resistance.
