The Neues Museum (New Museum) is not only home to the bust of Nefertiti, but also to the entire Ägyptisches Museum (Egyptian Museum), including the papyrus collection and the Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte (Museum of Prehistory and Early History). The neoclassical building – designed by the renowned Prussian architect Friedrich August Stüler and restored and extended by architect David Chipperfield – brings together around 9,000 objects.
