The Museum Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf researches and presents the history of the West Berlin district. Since 2012, it has been based in the Villa Oppenheim, which was built in the late-19th-century Gründerzeit style. One of the current exhibitions focuses on the renaming of streets in Berlin, which not only reflects the city’s history, but also the contested nature of public remembrance.
