The museum is barrier-free. There is a lift leading from the courtyard into the exhibition and a wheelchair-accessible toilet. There are no car parking facilities. There is a tactile floor guidance system in the museum for blind and visually impaired people.

During the Second World War, factory owner Otto Weidt employed blind and deaf Jews, trying to save them from persecution and deportation. Through poignant exhibits, this museum in the former workshop commemorates the fates of its workers and of those who risked everything to help them.
