There is a room in the museum (the Bücherwunderkammer) that can only be reached via stairs. And although the highest level of the Climbing Shelf can be reached by elevator, the Climbing Shelf itself is not suitable for people with mobility impairments. Toilet, elevator and all other facilities are barrier-free.
The museum makes complex relationships tangible in a playful way. Interactive temporary exhibitions focus on changes in the city, as well as on other cultures, nature and the environment. A museum print shop, a mirror cabinet and a traditional soap store round off the activities on offer.
