The museum is at ground level. A small pedestal step must be overcome at the visitor entrance. A mobile ramp is available for wheelchair users. The exhibition area is wheelchair accessible and an accessible toilet is available.

Launched in 1997, the museum collects, preserves and researches digital interactive entertainment media. Visitors can learn all about the cultural history of games, from rare originals and playable classics to modern 3D worlds. A huge collection of magazines throws further light on the subject.
