The Long Night of Museums 2023

The Long Night of Museums on August 26, 2023 was a great success: more than 50,000 visitors joined the experience, getting to know new museums and participating in the numerous events on offer. Enthusiastic guests danced the tango at the Jewish Museum, made flutes at the Bauhaus Archive, listened to lectures on the food of the future at the Futurium, climbed the tower of the French Cathedral, or were driven through the city in a vintage car.

Museum Island vibrated with voices and sounds: thousands strolled through the Lustgarten to soak up the magical atmosphere, and the colonnade courtyard in front of the Alte Nationalgalerie was transformed to a stage where the Japanese folk fusion band Mitsune and the Jamaican-American rapper Zebra Katz were among our special guests that captivated the thronging crowds.
