In his photographs, Matthias Leupold reflects on his childhood and youth in East Berlin from the 1960s to the 1980s under the GDR dictatorship. The staged reading "FROM THE GROUP BOOK OF CHRISTIANE P.” with Marharyta Pshenitsyna refers to the disappearance of the individual in the group. Those who did not submit were marginalised - like Leupold himself, who was imprisoned in Hohenschönhausen in 1982.
