Turn me on! Are robots the better lovers?

Waiting times on site
  • Duration approx. 45 min
  • In German
  • Meeting point: Exhibition

Hightech has long since reached our bedrooms. But what about sex robots – vision of the future or reality? Jessica Szczuka reveals what science knows about their use and effects and how she researches such an intimate topic. How are machines changing our ideas about relationships, bodies and sexuality?

The Futurium is presented on screens in the foyer in a short video in German sign language. Interpreters translate speech and music into sign language at selected events.

Five copies of our portable tactile orientation plan are available at the information desk in the foyer. Assistance dogs and long canes are permitted throughout the Futurium. We offer guide assistance for events involving movement. People with visual impairments and blind persons can find out about the theme and structure of the exhibition at a tactile overview table and by means of text in larger print and in Braille. People with visual impairments and blind people are dependent on a guide to walk through the exhibition.

The barrier-free main entrance is only a few meters away from Alexanderufer street. In the Futurium, an elevator leads from the foyer to the exhibition on the upper floor and to the lab in the basement.
