  • Open from 18:00 until 02:00

  • There is soft ice cream and coffee from the Eiskombinat trolley.

  • The AEG tunnel can only be visited in conjunction with the ‘Falling Sideways’ event and UNFORTUNATELY THE EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED.

  • Access via Voltastrasse 5-6, after approx. 50 metres keep to the left of the courtyard, next to staircase 12.1

The facility is not barrier-free due to the structural conditions.

The test tunnel of the Berlin-based electricity company AEG, completed in 1897, was intended to initiate the construction of an underground network based on the London model. Berliner Unterwelten e.V. has restored the tunnel and offers guided tours through Germany’s first underground tunnel, which also served as a filming location for the television series ‘Babylon Berlin’.
