  • For security reasons, simultaneous access to the exhibition area on the ground floor is limited to a maximum number of visitors. There may be waiting times. Thank you for your understanding!

The main area is accessible from the ground floor, and seating is available. The programme activities and exhibitions are partially accessible. A gallery runs along the perimeter of the room about two metres above the ground floor. It is accessible from two sides, but only via stairs. There is no floor guidance system. Further information

While the museum building is being renovated and extended, the project space “the temporary” presents a changing programme dealing with the Bauhaus Archive’s collection and with current issues relating to design, architecture and society. The bauhaus shop has also been moved to the temporary location.
