Troy – Dream or Reality
Praised in the Iliad, made rich by customs and trade, destroyed by the Greeks, discovered and excavated by Heinrich Schliemann. For thousands of years, people have told each other about the mysterious city in Asia Minor with insurmountable walls built by the gods, rich treasures and a palace in which the wise King Priam ruled.
But did the city of Troy and its king Priam really exist?
At the moment, visitors with mobility issues are only able to access the Neues Museum via the eastern entrance and via the lift on the southern side of the building. The goods lift in the Neues Museum is currently out of service. Access to the Neues Museum from the Archaeological Promenade is currently unavailable for visitors with mobility issues.
