The Secret Sound of Plants. Music Performance by Mélodie Melak

Waiting times on site
  • Duration approx. 30 min
  • Suitable for all languages
  • Meeting point: Museum garden

Mélodie Melak's solo project consists of self-built synthesisers connected to a series of plants. The plants, which have their own unique tone, shape the sound of each oscillator. Based on physiological reactions, the plants modulate the frequencies they produce, creating a lively, ever-changing sound.

On stage, Mélodie composes with the sounds produced and modulated live by the plants. Her music evolves from minimalism to noise drone.
