- Spaces for guided tours and events at the planetarium are limited. Tickets for these will be issued from 45 minutes before the start of the event.

### Accessibility

The museum exhibitions, the Einstein Hall and the Zeiss-Kleinplanetarium are wheelchair-accessible. The small lecture hall and the observation instruments (giant telescope, Coudé telescope, astrograph dome, Cassegrain reflector telescope and solar physics cabinet) are unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

### About the museum

Superlatives of astronomy: the Archenhold Observatory is the largest and oldest public observatory in Germany. Its refracting telescope, built in 1896, features a focal length of 21 metres that makes it the longest movable telescope in the world. The museum attached to the observatory provides insights into the history of astronomy from its origins to the present day.
